There are not 5 guards better than him all time

Magic/Curry
Jordan/Kobe

harden would be on the roster over west/havlicek/thomas/oscar

he's much more skilled than all of them and they would admit it.Harden would be the 5th guard on the roster

It's very close but I think Harden's a better player than Wade. Wade has the better legacy cause of his rings obviously

He is a completely ineffectual player. He could be great but he just isn't because his selfishness and entitlement will never allow him to be the team player required for rings. Waste of talent for sure.

I might be misunderstanding the thread but with this team u could swap him with Oscar or u don't need so many centers. Not saying he is one of the 12 best all time

I get the idea that you would want Harden as an instant scoring threat off the bench, but would you really want 4 other all-time greats standing around doing nothing while Harden dribbles the ball for 10 seconds ?

I really wish we could drop 2009 Wade into 2019 and allow him to isolate for as much as 8-12 seconds at a time with shooters everywhere to make the help hesitate. I just wanna see what people would have to say about what hed be doing.

I would love to see Kobe, Wade & T-Mac in this era. You gotta figure, all in their primes on the garbage squads they peaked, Wade would be around 33/10, McGrady 35+, Kobe at 40

Wades first step was so explosive he didn't need 3/4 of the shot clock to set up a drive and have everyone else standing around waiting. He'd have shat on this era (meaning the peak 2005 to 2012 version). He had a modern guards skillset with elite athleticism, body control, speed, quickness, in a era tailored for perimeter players. He didn't have the 3ball but he'd live on the free throw line and you couldn't keep him out of the lane, and whose back there to stop him? He came into the league when interior defense wasn't the novel concept it is today.

D Wade would have at least 2-3 MVP's in this era, Kobe as well.

Has Harden really passed Jerry West or Wade?

I don't think so...but no doubt that Harden might end up pass them depending on what he does over the next 2-3 years.

D Wade would have at least 2-3 MVP's in this era, Kobe as well.

An era that includes LeBron, Giannis, Kevin Durant, Kawhi, and Curry.

Harden is just that good, bud. Sorry to break the news.

You gotta take into consideration how many stars there are in today's league, and that fact that Wade would have to put up godly numbers (which he'd be capable of doing) while also leading his team to a top 2-3 record in the league which is not easy to do.

Harden put up big numbers in 2015 and 2019 when he finished 2nd in voting, but the only reason why he didn't win the award was because of the Rockets' win total

I think Wade would win 1 MVP, and maybe have a couple top 3 finishes, but saying he'd win AT LEAST 2-3 MVPs is kind of a stretch

That's easily a finals squad, same with 06 or 09 Kobe w/ the current Lakers squad minus LeBron. Hell, replace AD w/ someone like Jokic or Sabonis that team could still get to the Finals. Wins wouldn't be an issue for either of them.
