The eye test shows he is much slower. Look at that play against Bamba. There

I wonder how the Heat would do with him.

Of course he is slowing, father time is undefeated.

And yes he is playing point guard for a reason, adapting your game later in your career is what you are supposed to do.

Yes he clearly has significantly slowed. He never looked the same after he left Miami. [Cue the PED snark]. His bad back had him hobbled all of 2015, but he got that sorted in 2016.

Still wasn't getting up as high or getting up and down the court as quickly. He managed to turn back time in the finals, but hasn't reached that level since.

Started seeing guys chase him down instead of the other way around. Dunks turned into layups and where once you couldn't throw an alley oop he couldn't finish, now he was missing them.

Now as OP points out he's getting blocked at the rim repeatedly. Still shows some flashes and can get up for a thunderous dunk from time to time, but far more grounded now and definitely lacking endurance and explosion.

Of course he is. He looked gassed in the first game of the season and that's after taking 6 months off.. He can still have a couple explosive plays but it's been apparent that he can't physically dominate for longer than 3 quarters of a game on most nights since 2017. The roids just aren't working like they used to.

LEBRon is playing great basketball this year. I like his role and he is killing it. it's about time he played point guard.

he reminds me of Wade 2nd or 3rd year of the big 3, slowing down but skills for days

Davis is a monster

I think Lebron is going to struggle big time against the Clips.

They have Kawhi AND PG who will both go attack him and lock him down on D. How will he rest?

Lebron is def slowing. I mean his head is about 8 inches under the rim nowadays while in his prime he had his head over the rim on his dunks. Still his IQ has allowed him to thrive..

He does look a little bit more waddly this year. Quite a bit of waddling going on. For a couple years there he got to a point where he was actually really smooth with his movements on offense. But that time has passed.

He has been on the slide since 2017... only difference against others (1) its a slow slide (2) the peak is high so it'll take more time to go down.

His ability to finish at the rim has regressed hugely.

He's dominating off pure skill and IQ :applause:

I believe since 2017 hes slowed down but like others said his peak was so ridiculous that's it's a slow decline.

I also think he uses his athletics like a turbo button. If it's not necessary he will lay it up...if he needs to..he will use it and make a huge athletic play.

Half his blocks at the rim are laying it up soft.

A guy who finishes at 68 to 70% in the paint now only finishes at like 60 percent.regression but still great finishing ability.

Yeah that’s why he’s shooting 36.3% on 3s and taking over 6 a game.

Jordan could never.
