Clearly they didn't look at Kobe's basketballreference page like the high basketball IQ people on this internet message board.

Kobe Bryant reminds me of Ivan Lendl.

When they were playing, both considered as one of the best, and always in the GOAT discussion.

Then a bunch of next generations came, played in a different style of game, won more trophies/rings, the old men faded.

GOAT or not, they were winners and champions once, had numerous experience, and most importantly, they knew how to win. Nobody had doubt on their winning mentality.

Lendl helped Andy Murray as 2 time Wimbledon Champions and young players want to learn from Kobe. Very similar scenarios.
Their experience and winning mentality are valued by people.

I am not really a Kobe fan, but PLEASE, give credit to him.

They begged Kobe to allow them to train with him? I don't think so. Are they begging MJ, Russ, West, all the other ATG's to train them? Nope.

More likely is that Kobe sent out a message that he would host a training camp for some special players. And if you're one of those special players, why not? Say what you want about Kobe as a player, you have to admit that he knows how to market himself.
