this is the cerebral, Old World approach to the game that an average American basketball player simply cannot offer:applause:

Porzingis spent 5 years in Spain. Doncic 4. At a very young age, too. Of course they speak Spanish. In fact, better Spanish than English. In English both are fluent but Spanish is like their mother tongue. I've spent some time in the UK and US myself. Not as much as these two in Spain... but I'm not awful in English either. Also spent some time in Germany and I had to learn Russian in school for like 10 years. It's not that hard to learn a language if you really have to. Kobe speaks Italian. Not a big surprise, is it? And Dennis Schroeder is black but has a clear accent speaking English while being perfect in German.

Unfortunately this is not just a Lebron problem, I would estimate that ~90% of NBA players have English comprehension abilities equivalent to a below average US urban elementary school student.

Luka sounds like Messi when he speaks Spanish :oldlol:

Everybody wants to be Luka.

Here comes this white man, dominating a black-man's game and bringing chaos to the scene, on pace to be one of the GOAT's, with a non super-athletic/fast body/genetics, giving hope to all :applause:

Luka woulda killed it in Phoenix with such a large Spanish speaking population. I'm sure Dallas has a big one too but in Phoenix we are thiccer where it matters.

I do have to give Porzingis credit and respect for speaking multiple languages so smoothly. His English is extremely impressive too.

Probably the highest IQ in NBA history.

Luka dominating without superior athleticism.

Two moves ahead of everyone.

Luka speaking perfect Spanish, while Kobe makes Italian sound even more suave and sexy.

The Kobe famiglia is truly a culturally refined and worldly family

I'm not sure why Lebron speaks the way he does. He's obviously a smart human being, but one has to cringe when listening to him tell the media "we was dominit."
