Strongest Bulls team + the best perimeter defender in Pippen. This team had 3-peat chemistry

kukoc < kuzma or JR Smith

rodman < Tristan

96' pippen in playoffs < 07' Hughes <<<< kyrie

MJ infact won with nothing.. a bunch of role players and a bench-level scorer at 2nd scoring option - look at pippen's stats in each series of the 96-98' playoffs - he was horrific - many series of 15 on 35% and getting destroyed by 2nd, 3rd and even 4th options

Tristan and Hughes were better defensively right? I didn’t even mention Kerr yet
Hughes was 1st team all defense and the NBA steals champ (Pippen was never steals champ)

Overall, Hughes was a 22/5/5, 1st team defender in 2005 before joining Lebron - Pippen wasn't capable of that until like 1992, so MJ had a lesser sidekick from 1988-1991

Contrary to belief steals are not a good indicator of defensive ability. It just means a player gambles more and often gets burned doing it (chasing stats)

That bum ass squad wouldn't get past the Magic let alone the Sonics. Who would keep up offensively with Kemp if there was no Jordan? It sure as hell isn't scottie or Rodman. Then you bring in GP and Detlef and its wrap. Only advantage was Jackson>>>Karl as a coach.

They're not beating the Sonics without Jordan's scoring. No way. Also, you're removing his defense.

And they don't get past the Knicks, either.

If you replaced MJ with another all star? Sure. Maybe.

If you just took MJ away? C'mon OP.

That team would've been a 7th to 8th seed losing in the 1st round.

Scottie was 9-39 from three in that finals. :lol

At least Kukoc's 10-32 was above 30%.

Uh, this is a bit of a stretch tbfh.

efinitely false

and only because that season's runner-up, the 64-18 Sonics, were just too deep - they had five guys they could rely on any given night and it's their starting lineup

Actually, yes, it was the strongest Bulls team even if you took MJ away, yes, I'll agree with that wholeheartedly.
