What happened to Blake? He played at an All NBA level last season, and has looked marginalized this season. Was there a significant change in the roster?

there've been a lot of games where the best player is a reserve

for example, Goran Dragic is the best player a lot of nights

Not a lot of games where the best player is a reserve. Not who is the best 6th man in the league. But a team where a player that is not a starter is objectively the best player on the team. Rose is the only example of this afaik. Blake was supposed to be the #1 option in Detroit, but he's physically broken and mentally checked out. And Drummond is pretty useless to anything except rebounding.

lol right. If not for Drummond this team would be dead last in defense.

Yeah, when you contest shots you're gonna get dunked on...very good. The Pistons are 18th in the league in defense with a 109.8 drating. Drummond leads the team with a 100 while nobody else is below 106 and most of the guys who play heavy mins are in the 110's. This team would be in the bottom three without him, period.
