Why is Jordan considered GOAT considering he never won a title without a superstar player.

..............................Playoff PPG
... 96' Bulls............... 86' Celtics...............87' Lakers
Jordan.... 30.7........ Bird........ 25.8........ Worthy...... 23.6
Pippen.... 16.9........ McHale.... 24.9........ Magic........ 21.8
Kukoc..... 10.8........ DJ.......... 16.2........ Kareem..... 19.2
Longley.... 8.4........ Ainge...... 15.6........ B Scott...... 14.8
Harper..... 8.8........ Parish..... 15.0........ M Cooper... 13.0
Rodman... 7.5........ Walton...... 7.9........ AC Green... 11.5
S Kerr...... 6.8....... Sichting..... 3.2........ Thompson.... 8.8
There's no comparison - the 1996 Bulls were a top-heavy team where MJ scored nearly TWICE as much as his 2nd option and 30% of his team's points..
Btw, if I added columns for 1991-1993, or 1997 and 1998 (when Scottie and Rodman were straight AIDS), it looks absolutely ridiculous...
MJ had the least help ever, of anyone he's compared to - just compare ANY of his rosters in the above fashion to any of his peers' championship teams.. There's a reason he had to score more than anyone, while still doing everything else - it's because he had the LEAST help, not the most.

You forgot that Jordan faced far greater defensive attention, since he scored 12-20 ppg more than his 2nd option, compared to 1 ppg for Lebron.
Despite facing greater defensive attention, Jordan made all the game-winning plays for Pippen, whereas Kyrie made several for Lebron.
https://image.ibb.co/mgzQZb/NBAFINALS.png
So MJ's 1993 and 1991 > Lebron's 2016, and MJ has 4 top ten performances, to LeBron's fluke..
Btw, how many points when it mattered (OT) for lebron in Game 1 of 2018?

If I'm an elite playmaker (a la magic, bird, lebron) my team mates score more and I score less.
If I'm a ball hog (a la jordan) my team mates score less and I score more.
That's why 3balls comparisons of which team mate scored what are irrelevant. Being on LeBron or Magic or Bird's team meant you would score more. Being in Jordan's team meant you would score less.

Pippen wasn't a superstar in 1991
He was similar to 2014 Kawhi before those Finals - no one had heard of him - he was best known for being the Pistons' whipping boy and his epic choke in Game 7 the prior year.
Indeed, MJ beat the champs in 1990 and 1991 (well, he almost won in 1990), with a non-star sidekick AND a rookie, nobody coach.
So here's the historical record - MJ was already a goat candidate in 1991, and led a young, non-star sidekick and rookie coach to a championship, which put some respect in their name from that point forward... the rest is history.

The worst Pippen stats that MJ lost with:
Pippen 1995 ECSF... 19 on 41%*
Pippen 1990 ECF..... 16 on 42%**
Pippen 1989 ECF..... 10 on 41%
*... MJ's baseball comeback year
**. Pippen's series-costing choke in Game 7 (2 pts, 1-10)
The worst Kyrie/Wade stats that Lebron lost with:
Wade 2011 Finals... 27 on 48%
Kyrie' 2017 Finals... 29 on 48%
So the best non-asterisk Pippen stats that MJ lost with is 10 on 42%, while Lebron lost with 27 and 29 from Wade/Kyrie... No comparison - MJ did far more with far less.

Who cares
Anytime Pippen scored more than 10 ppg, MJ won.... :applause:
(assuming Pippen doesn't choke in game 7 or MJ wasn't playing baseball most of the year)
Otoh, Lebron loses with his sidekick getting 27 and 29 ppg
Yet you're talking about rebounds and assists?

Jordan only got 4 rebounds and 2 assists and won (1998)
LeBron lost with 12 rebounds and 10 assists in 2017
Can you imagine LeBron winning a Finals series with 4/2?

Impossible obviously... He never lost under normal circumstances any time Pippen scored over 10 ppg - that's all the Pippen help that MJ needed to win

Lebrons entire 2013 championship run was worse help than any of MJs
Wade 15/4/4 on 45% with shit defense
Bosh 12/6 on 45%

Lebrons entire 2013 championship run was worse help than any of MJs

Bosh 12/6 on 45%
Wade rested up through the weak Eastern Playoffs, but averaged 20/5/5 on 48% in the Finals against their first real opponent.
Wade and company prevented a 3-0 deficit while Lebron averaged 16 on 39% for the first 3 games.. If the cast hadn't stepped up, the Heat would've been down 3-0 with no chance to win.
Overall, Lebron was a net negative in the series (Heat lost with him on the floor) - he was infact choking worse than 2011, but this time Ray Allen saved him and forced game 7..
So he was saved twice in that series - his teammates prevented a 3-0 deficit while Lebron averaged 16 on 39%, and Ray Allen forced game 7
Btw, you should never mention Bosh's stats - everyone knows that Lebron shut him down, so Bosh couldn't average 20 ppg like Klay did alongside Durant.
