Like from pick-up games in the streets, high school, D1, overseas leagues, Euroleague, all the way to NBA.. D-League, whatever there is

It's hard to categorize all the levels, but one thing is certain:

the current NBA is the least-pure form of the game we've ever seen - the rules have been changed to encourage easy penetration and a diluted threes/layups shot allocation, which has dumbed down the game ridiculously

High school and college are obviously much more pure forms of the game due to the allowance of a true zone, although these levels have been diluted as well by the wide open spacing and hyper-focus on threes

less pure than the hero ball era of the early 2000's? Where people like Jerry Stackhouse averaged 30 ppg on like 40% shooting

as much as you people hate harden....just imagine 10 hardens on 10 different teams all at the same time.dribble dribble dribble....but way less effecient than harden

You had to be good to average 25 ppg back then

Nowadays, everyone and their mother is doing it because the lanes are wide open and it's an easy, spaced-out format.. defenses have no chance to cover all that ground, especially without using their hands.. :facepalm

Ultimately, there's a lot more to basketball than just layups and threes... thanks silver for giving us a shit game that many people (like myself) can't watch anymore
