This is why guaranteed deals in the NBA are a joke.

If someone suffers a career ending injury that's one thing, and even then they shouldn't count against the cap...

But a guy who just decided to lose his mind once he got a deal? Teams should be forced to pay 100% and be counted against the cap 100% for knucklehead assholes like this?

The CBA needs to be reworked as it pertains to guaranteed deals.

The perception that guaranteed contracts benefit players is not necessarily accurate. To be sure, it works out that way sometimes, but what you don't see is all the instances where teams offer less because they're reluctant to commit that much guaranteed money.

They're reluctant to commit that much guaranteed money because they have no guarantee on the return on their investment in terms of the player's mentality and skill level moving forward. If guaranteed contracts weren't a thing teams would be throwing out more money as long and if the player checks out after signing for 100s of millions or whatever the case is then that's on him.

When you've already lost over a million dollars in 6 weeks because of stupid antics and you decide to call in sick so you can spend a day out on your boat.

Miami is a helluva a city!

This guy was always an idiot, I remember it so in college playing for a great coach. Dude left early and I know he got drafted high (good job Cavs :facepalm ) but he needed another year or 2 being coached in college or basically life lessons.

What an idiot. They should take away his contract and give it to Beasley.
