However, they did start to drop off after 09...and were noticeably worse from 10 on. I'm not sure how anyone could argue against that.

With that said, KG is pretty much right, but at the end of the day we can obviously argue who had the better approach. Imagine if KG, Pierce, Ray all joined up in Boston and in the the East 5 years earlier, which would’ve been KG’s 8th season just like when Lebron joined Miami? They would’ve probably been the best team in a weak East for most of the decade and with the Kobe/Shaq done winning titles and then breaking up soon after and really no other super-dominant team in the west, they’re probably just as successful if not more successful then the Lebron/Wade/Bosh Heat eventually were. If that happened, KG is still no Lebron but he would’ve been considered a much greater player right now.
