Currently watching the Heat Philly game and watching the Sixers look lost playing against a 2-3 zone (no excuse for that btw) and on the other side the amount of spacing that the Heat players are getting off of the pick'n'roll is astonishing to me.
Can you imagine prime MJ coming off a high screen and driving the lane then stopping on a dime and pulling up with his 40+ inch vertical jumpshot over every defender in this league? It would be a joke.
Most players can't take advantage of the in-between game and the space given to them. It's like no-man's land for them and it hurts to watch.
Replace Jimmy Butler with Prime MJ (86-91) and they would be the best team in the East and championship contenders bar none.
Anyone know a player coming up that has the potential to be the next MJ? Just give me some hope man.
Maybe I miss KD. And unfortunately Kawhi isn't going to play much until the post season.
I took MJ for granted, and now I regret it. How foolish of me.

MJ wouldn't have tough shots like this in today's game

in today's game, his mid-range pull-ups would have tons and tons of room and he'd average 45 at a minimum
Jerry West:
"I've seen some incredible players," West says. "I mean, the Lakers had some incredible players--Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson--and it's awful to say, but Michael Jordan is the best player I've ever seen.
"People get enamored with his spectacular physical presence, but his skill level . . . if his skill level wasn't that good, he'd be another guy who you'd see on the highlight films a lot, but he wouldn't have been thought of as maybe the greatest player that ever played the game. Right now, I don't know who's a better jump-shooter."

Ron Artest:
"Jordan was the toughest (to guard out of Kobe, Lebron, MJ) because he's as strong as Lebron, he shoots as good as Reggie Miller from the mid-range, and because he's tough. He's a killer out there on the court."
