But yet First Take today says that even though Anthony Davis is on LBJ's level, it shouldn't be factored into the discussion because he's leading the Lakers (the most glamour franchise) to a great record....

How does that make sense? Shouldn't you be penalized as far as the MVP race if you have the following advantages:
1) plays for the #1 glamour team
2) plays with another MVP on the glamour team
3) plays with pick of the litter overqualified role players who want to play for a glamour franchise

How does the fact that he's doing it for the Lakers impress people?

Doing this in a market like Milwaukee, Cleveland, etc should be more impressive than doing this with tons of inherent built in advantages.

Discuss.

Anthony Davis actually got out of round 1 in the West. Lebron didn't even make the playoffs in the West until he got AD even though he had Rondo and Dwight before.
