That hurts LeBron's all time status. Every. Single. Time. Even when showing an area where LeBron clearly is superior (and of course there are some). Because that comparison on the whole is SOOOOO terrible for LeBron.

Around here (even taking out all the LeBron stans and all Kobe stans and all the "haters" of both who are really just overreacting to the stans), LeBron's all time status is somewhere around 2-8 or or so, mostly in the middle or slightly towards the worse end of that range, but a decent chunk of that reason is because his career has been crap compared in MJ's in terms of what really makes a career "great" and a what makes a player achieve "greatness".

If the LeBron stans would just make posts pointing out how big of a loser Kareem was in his prime in the NBA (when the ABA was better) or how no one at the time thought he was as good as Wilt or Russell, that would get people on LeBron's side.

They could make similar comparison cases to Wilt or Russell, and while there would be serious debate about it, LeBron's career wouldn't come off as so effing terrible like it does when compared to MJ's, and it always make LeBron look terrible when people make any comparison to MJ.

They could make a comparison case to Magic pretty easily and while the pro Magic people will be able to point to his impact on the sport (one of the biggest aspects of greatness) and point to the overall negative impact LeBron has had on the state of the sport, there are going to be some elements to the argument that might make LeBron look better.

The Bird argument will be very very tough to make in favor of LeBron, but at least there is the health aspect. And there is the physical talent aspect too. That comparison too if made time after time like the MJ ones, might end up propping up Bird higher overall, but I think it would also help LeBron.

Shaq...another very tough one for LeBron but there are definitely quite a few arguments to be made and it doesn't make LeBron's career look terrible by mentioning Shaq's name.

The Kobe stuff does probably help LeBron though...that is one thing the LeBron stans get right mostly at least in terms of propping up LeBron as most people have a fairly steady view of Kobe.

And also compare LeBron to ANY current day player and it makes LeBron look great. Maybe just stick to that one.

Peace.

Jordan stans pretty much don't exist. There might be one or two exceptions to the rule, but in general every serious person who follows NBA history knows there is no real debate about Jordan being the greatest of all time. You can argue about talent or stat accumulation or talk strictly about rings or whatever else, but there is no real debate about greatness.

Lebron stans are like Kobe fanboys back in the day.

But on steroids.

Dumber than a sack of hammers. Then again most "stans" are.
