2 rings at least?

As good as Durant is as a player, how many other top 30 players would have not won a ring in 2017 and 2018?

Paul George?
Harden?
Embiid?
Derozan?
Aldridge?
Butler?
Drummond?
Jokic?
Beal?
Giannis?

Lets go even further

Wiggins?
Melo?
Blake?

It would depend a lot on fit.

Guys like Porter and Covington would have fit in really well and probably would have won 2 or 3 titles if the team had stayed healthy.

Star players? Almost all of them are winning 2 titles in 3 years if healthy.

Given that Harrison Barnes was a crutch, I

None of them

u need a wing to fit in with that system. Bigs like Jokic/Embiid would make them worse and completely negate their small ball lineups which was key to them being great

Harden/Giannis dominates the ball and would make Draymond irrelevant on offense and the offense much worse overall. And Harden makes them much worse on defense

Youd also have to cover up for 2 bad defenders in Steph and Harden instead of just 1 which was doable.

And none of them besides KD get past the 2018 Rockets (without HCA) + Iggy injury or the Raptors (+ Klay injury)

only one who could have replicated KDs success was Kawhi. He fits the system on and off the ball. Has the iso scoring when it bogs down to a slow paced halfcourt game (which is why Draymond and the warriors were crying for KD to join them) and top defense to fit in and switch when they go small

and he got hurt in 17 and was out all of 18 so thats automatically 2 years he wont win. In 2020 he could do it but thats just 1/3

Warriors without Durant: 67 wins and a title, 73 wins and 1-2 plays from b2b

Who could win in Durant's place: Nobody

in the exact same situation, I don't see many players beating the '17 cavs or '18 rockets.

Warriors were better than the majority of teams, they needed durant for the top 1-2 teams.

Then theres the question of fit which needs to fit their small ball lineups.
