Big Z/Big Ben anchored a top 3 defense and #7 ranked shotblocking team in 09

Wade is arguably GOAT shotblocking guard. Him and Joel anchored b2b top 10 shotblocking teams in 11/12

then with Joel gone, Bosh picked up the slack in 13 to keep them a top 10 shotblocking team. Bosh was top 10 in shotblocking in the 2013 playoffs tied with Tim Duncan

In 2019 Javale led a fringe top 10 defense and #8 ranked shotblocking team

In 2020 the Lakers would add Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard and become an alltime great shotblocking team. #1 by a large margin with the goliath big three defensive anchors of AD/Dwight/Javale

thoughts?

So in SEVENTEEN seasons Bron has had legit rim protection in only 1 and a half seasons of his career, appreciate proving OP's point

2020 Lakers are an alltime rim protecting team

Bran has had legit rim protecting teams in 09, 11-13 and 19 as well as ive outlined. Multiple top 10 shotblocking teams including peaking as high as #4 with goliaths of Big Z/Big Ben big blocks

Wade a 6'3-6'4 guard was also their best shotblocker on the perimeter in Miami as well and arguably GOAT guard shotblocker:applause:

Imagine thinking Joel Anthony was there for anything more than to make up the numbers. And than imagine using the term anchored when talking about Joel Anthony. Even he wouldn't look anyone in the eye and say he anchored the Heatles defense

Also, Orlando played 6 games. Miami played 21. But you already knew that

Everyone knows u Bran stans like to underplay how great his role players have been

Those shotblocking numbers arent totals. Theyre per game

Dwight was at 1.8 blocks per game in the playoffs same as Joel. The fact that Joel kept up that shotblocking effort through 20+ games makes it even more impressive:applause:

We are still talking about Joel Anthony here right? Jesus, what's next his name added to the list of star talent Bron has played with?

Fair enough on the blocks though, wrong of me to assume Howard was swatting more than 1.8 a game

yeah the same Joel Anthony that averaged 2.4 blocks per game through the Celtics and Bulls series including a dominant 3 blocks per game against the Bulls. He was a fantastic rim protector

he only really struggled to protect the rim against Dallas since Dirks spacing and shooting brought him out more to the perimeter and he couldnt protect the rim as well with the Dirk threat outside

What is legit rim protection? Did Ilgauskas count as legit rim protection or does it have to be at least Dwight Howard DPOY level?

LeBron had to be the best rim protector + perimeter defender at the same time his entire career

He didn't have the luxury of a Pippen or a Rodman to take the defensive burden off him

If this is true, for 6'-9", he wasn't very good at it, but you probably think 0.8 for a career is good :confusedshrug:

Lebron failed with Wallace and Shaq

This year he begged AD and Dwight for their services

Lets hope Lebron does better this time around:cheers:

Jordan wished he had a TOP 10 Goat teammate like Shaq :(
