When the injury news came out they said he'll come back in 6-8 weeks. It's been that long now and there's still no news about him coming back.

He's not going to play this season?? :wtf: :facepalm

Paul Pierce said the other day he'd just shut him down for the rest of the season.

This is becoming a thing I guess for 1st rounders. Oden, Blake, Simmons and now Zion. Poor fans :(

Griffin is a known tanker with young teams.

They are going to shut him down and red shirt him like Ben Simmons, Blake, etc...

Angle for another high draft pick to get James Wiseman or one of the PG's and then try to win 2 years later.

I made a thread about this at the start of the season, over 50% of lottery picks miss their first year nowadays so it's not surprising.

That can't possibly be true.

2019 for example

1. Pelicans draft Zion Williamson not playing so far

2. Grizzlies draft Ja Morant playing

3. Knicks draft RJ Barrett playing

4. Lakers draft De'Andre Hunter >> officially traded to the Hawks, after first being dealt to the Pelicans playing

5. Cavaliers draft Darius Garland playing

6. Suns draft Jarrett Culver >> officially traded to the Timberwolves playing

7. Bulls draft Coby White playing

8. Hawks draft Jaxson Hayes >> officially traded to the Pelicans playing

9. Wizards draft Rui Hachimura playing

10. Hawks draft Cam Reddish playing badly

11. Timberwolves draft Cameron Johnson >> officially traded to the Suns playing

12. Hornets draft PJ Washington playing

13. Heat draft Tyler Herro playing

14. Celtics draft Romeo Langford playing

Zion is the only one in the lottery not playing

Or he's coming back in January. There's no reason to rush him back at this point.

Knicks don't look so bad now that they're not stuck with injury-prone Kyrie and Zion possibly missing an entire season and becoming a bust.
