Jordan Clarkson is on expiring contract with a $13.4M cap hit. Dante Exum has two years left at $9.6M per year. Cleveland will create a $3.83M trade exception and will also go from $1.3M to $5.1M below the luxury tax.

What potential? He is long and fast but sadly he's not an NBA player offensively anyway. Looks like an athlete trying to play NBA ball not a NBA player that is athletic. He could be a defensive specialist at best from what we've seen. The funny thing is supposedly their refusal to include Exum is why they didn't get Conley last year. :lol

Right now I'd say it's the worst of the 3 deals they've made with the Cavs the last 3 years. Clarkson isn't as good as Crowder or Korver. Getting rid of Hood was bigger than Exum because Snyder loved Hood and it was killing them.

Utah does it to solidfy their bench and scoring. Clarkson has shown improvements on shot selection and quality of shots the last year.

Cleveland does it to tank more and stash decent talent that probably won't blossom and draft picks.
