He's close.
So methodical.
A surgeon.
Every move in the post.
Elite pull up J.
Elite defender.
Elite crunch time bucket getter.

hes nowhere close.........even MJ that late in his career didnt need to load manage. Played 82 every season of the 2nd 3peat
Pip missed half the season in 98 which was MJs worst year of the 2nd 3peat.............and Bulls still won 62 and were a top 3 defense

Of course he can't be literally any of these incarnations of MJ but in terms of style of play and feel for the game (and the way he effortlessly palms the ball) it's very reminiscent.
He also "wakes up" for statement games.
But he'll never play more than 70 games in a season again. But he will play every game in the post season and that's all that matters to me.

KL is great but MJ was still a beast even in 98.:applause:

he doesnt always wake up for statement games
perfect opportunity against the Bucks and they got blown out
lost 2 games against the Rockets and choked in both. Harden badly outplayed Kawhi in the 1st one and outclutched him too, even stripped him once in the clutch

Even though Kawhi has owned Lebron this year...Harden and Giannis owned Kawhi so far this year

Kawhi is actually a better shooter cuz he has more range than MJ.. He is also bigger so he can guard almost anyone on the floor. His Jumper is as good as Ive ever seen from an athletic superstar. Well besides KD . But his jumper is as wet as they come.. Kawhi has had problems with HARDEN though.. The dude is just a tough cover.. MJ had problems with Penny hardaway so wouldnt be able to guard Harden either

Def a better shooter.. Kawhi's jump shot is probably the best ive ever seen from an athletic superstar besides KD...

Reminds me most of MJ '97. That year Jordan was a little heavier, it made him move a little more sluggish, he then lost a few pounds for 97-98 season. Kwahi is a bit like that.
But '91 ... lol, get the f**k outta here, Kwahi is no where near as explosive, agile, quick, nor does he have the vertical leap Jordan had in '91.
It's like saying SUV is gonna handle like a Lamborghini, no way.

I forgive the Bucks game because he already destroyed Giannis in the playoffs.
Same with Harden honestly. Plus the ticky-tacky fouls that the Rockets had won't be called in the playoffs.

It's tough to call. I think A healthy kawhi is better than older mj. Problem is kawhi dosnt look healthy. Even with that it's close though. Older mj was faster and more athletic than kawhi right now. He also had a slightly better post game and midrange. Kawhi is a better 3 point shooter though so its tough to say.

His FTs look ugly as hell. A shotput that sneaks in just over the rim. Very accurate though.
