What do you guys think?

Or is making the smart play still the right thing to do, even if you can never win them all in every situation?

Not sure what the smart play is? If your good enough and confident enough to take the shot and make it its not necessarily a a dumb or bad play. Its totally situational. For LeBron passing it up to the open man or a player like kyrie that can create a better shot than him is the smart play because LeBron isn't a great iso player in the half court set so it's smarter for him to pass it.

For someone like mj who can easily beat a double team and create a really good look in the half court set the smart play may be to keep it himself and score rather than pass it to an open player like pip, Harper or rodman who could very well miss an open shot. Both mj and LeBron usually make the smart play for them.

Lebron already had mamba mentality this game: 23 points on 9/24 shooting, unfortunately he didn

He had the opp to score and make a play on a clippers big before the switch on Beverly at the 3 point line. That's the biggest issue I saw.

He also many times allowed the switch so he wouldnt have to guard leonard late while Leonard went at him.

No matter how much he says he loves basketball lebron doesnt care nearly as much. True hes an all time great but it's sad to see a guy not even care to compete against his positions elite guys.

Lebron is too old to follow Kawhi on pick and rolls. Kawhi was looking for anyone BUT LEBRON to go at. He is obviously the premiere one on one player in the league but he looked to go at AD or anyone besides Bron.. The one time Bron tried to follow him on a pick and roll Kawhi was able to get a 4 ft bunny in front of the basket..

Lebron didnt play great but when he was off the floor the LAKERS melted .. He left the toward the end of the third and I believe they had a 7 pt lead by the end of the 3 they were tied. Give PG and Beverly credit they played great defense on Bron.. Bron is also a much slower player with no where the athleticism he once possessed. But the Lakers need to keep the ship afloat when he is off the floor. Rondo is just not cutting it as that second guy to run the team.. Get Bron Lou Williams and it becomes a much easier game for the Lakers. He can get his own shot and score 20. Besides AD no other Laker can get his own shot.. Maybe KUZ but his defense is atrocious.

Not true any more. Kuzma played very good defense today. He is not a great defender but he is definitely improving. He tries... and today he was actually very good on both ends.

his man defense and midrange J is way worse than kawhi's which is why he always get beat in the clutch.
