3 FMVP's
3 different teams

Continues to dominate LeBron head to head
He'll have the same amount of rings as LeBron at 28 compared to... 36 years old.

He already surpassed Bran on my list.

I don't need to somehow grade players on some arbitrary sh1t the media peer pressure comes up with to look "objective". Lets be real.

Fraud's got no leg to stand on except Ray Allen's 3, Silver's Green suspension + Kyrie's 3.

his peak is already higher

his playoff run last year is better than any Bran has had

faced far better competition en route to a title round by round. That Magic team was easily better than any 1st round team Bran faced. Those Sixers with Jimmy and Bucks with Brogdon are better than any of the Leastern teams Bran faced as well

and in Finals took down the Warriors without KD which is apparently Brans best feat:oldlol: :oldlol:

He'd have to win more chips and fmvp's, he just doesn't have the body of work to be be put on brons level.

If Kawhi gets 1x Reguar Season MVP or gets 4x FMVP/4x RING he's moving into top 10 all time.

I don't think he will. It's about the story. And Kawhi is not the personality to make a great story about. He is like Kareem. Or Duncan. Or David Robinson. Disrespected relative to their talents and actual results.

He needs longevity right now which remains to be seen

Kawhi needs a couple more good playoff runs and regular season mvp caliber seasons.

He needs a story more than anything. Greatness is not only about results. It's about people touched. The story may be fake... but it should sell. And Kawhi is a very tough sell to the masses.

You're very right about the narrative thing. Kareem was and is still is quite disrespected. And most of the respect he does get by younger generations is the point total and longevity but how incredible he was in his prime is ignored. Duncan does get the respect but never got the coverage. At the end of the day it's entertainment and charisma sells. Shunning the media doesn't.

Kawhi is a great player but he has played on some of the most stacked teams of all time.. VERY MJ LIKE.. All the teams he has played for have been capable of winning 50 games without him.. NO PROBLEM..

Even this years RAPTors are doing well though they have a ton of injuries..

Meanwhile Lebron leaves a team and they can't even make the playoffs even when the team replaces him with an all star

I think Duncan does not get enough respect. But he does have a story. He is looked at as an autistic hero out there. So there IS a story. It's about how little a story there is. And that's a story in itself.

But Kawhi? He is just a regular guy being great at basketball. When he was younger, David Robinson did have a story. But he outgrew it. He didn't want to become his own story. Which, I think, is good for him. Kinda like John Stockton. Kareem, at least is an intellectual loner. Not a great story... but something. Curry is that skinny little kid. Etc. But Kawhi? He is just good.

He'll have to pass Jordan first at 5987

Cool story, bro. It counts as little as Kareem's all-time high scoring or Russell's 11 rings.

Kawhi's done things, that if Bron were to do y'all would have criticized the hell out of him. It's amazing how he's been given such a pass

It's really not just LeBron in general to be honest, but that was the comparison of the thread.

I think a lot of superstars through history would have been heavily criticized for Kawhi's last 2-3 years, but he somehow has this pass, maybe it's because he's generally quiet, hasn't really got the superstar aura off the court

Gee imagine counting team accolades over individual accolades as some sort of badge of honour when comparing individuals.

We know MJ won more against weaker teams, with more all nba help, all defensive help, while doing everything less than LBJ in 13 playoffs. Facts.

How is Lebron's scoring record not team dependant, when getting rings is? The team had to get him to the finals in the 4x7 format so he could post higher totals.

If 30ppg prime scorers like Kareem, Jordan, Iverson, Kobe, Shaq, et all played with a team that was the most stacked in their conference and they had the chance to play 28 games each playoffs they'd field higher numbers aswell. Totals are BS in Basketball.
