View Full Version : When a ball-dominator is clear-cut best scorer, it's impossible to win ring unless

a player team-hops like Lebron did for extra, abnormal talent, and even then they'll mostly lose, given that he did.
ultimately, the ball-dominant style turns teammates into spot-up shooters, which doesn't develop players/teams and requires ready-made stars acquired via collusion/cheating.. LeBron simply avoided the career-losing fate of other ball-dominators by colluding for the extra talent this style needs to win

Why did MJ do everything worse than LBJ despite both playing in 13 seasons?
https://i.postimg.cc/fW86MLD4/fix-bom.png
The one thing he was "better" at is scoring, and he wasn't even #1 in that?
:lol
Thanks

Question - how many games played for each player? It would help shed light on performance rather than just totals?

obviously, per game is the real record, not career totals
and mj leads in PPG by a mile, while also leading efficiency rating, win contribution per game (ws/48), closing percentage (clutch)

MJ and LBJ actually played the least number of playoffs 13, compared to other guys with great longevity like Kobe 15, Shaq 16, and Kareem 18
The biggest difference probably boils down to conference Finals wins
Conference Finals wins
Kareem = 10
LeBron = 9
Kobe = 7
Jordan = 6
Shaq = 5
I cannot punish Kareem and LeBron for winning more conferences than Shaq and MJ. Right?

Lebron has 3 more conference finals and MJ has 3 more Finals
MJ's 3 more Finals > Lebron's 3 more conference finals

Only a ball-dominator is capable of beating a 73 win team

Exactly, I'm not going to punish LeBron's totals for winning his conference more than MJ while both making 13 playoffs...
Sorry MJ got swept in the 1st round three times and only won his conference 6 times, lebron won his conference 9 time
13 playoffs
Lebron = 9 conference wins
Jordan = 6 conference wins

who cares about dominating your conference
mj dominated the league
it's a completely different level, and that's why you'll never understand and be a fan of a fraudulent, manufactured star and career.. enjoy

Who was tougher, the 2017 Warriors or the 93 Suns?

Lebron had a 3rd star teammate, and therefore didn't face much of talent deficit in 2017, and certainly a smaller one than MJ faced in 1993 (which is why he needed to average 41 to win)
And this is where you guys go wrong - you only consider his opponent's big 3, without realizing that Lebron has his own Big 3... he only faced talent deficits in 07', 15', and 18', and maybe 17' if you want to baby him.. so that's 4 Finals, which leaves 5 that he should've won, yet he only has 3 rings
Ultimately, you can't compare teams from a Big 3 vs. Big 3 format to teams in a Big 2 vs Big 2 format that MJ played in.. Obviously, if you gave Malone/Stockton or Drexler/Porter or Shaq/Penny a 3rd star, they'd destroy the Warriors or any team Lebron faced.
Who was tougher, the 2017 Warriors or the 93 Suns?
i.e. Kyrie/Love matches Curry/Klay... and Lebron is supposed to match Durant... :confusedshrug: … how am I wrong
(please don't start pointing to meaningless/replaceable role players, especially when Lebron has a big 5 of fringe all-star role players, aka Korver/Shumpert/JR/Tristan/Jefferson)
The only talent deficit that Lebron overcame was 2007 ECF, but MJ overcame bigger ones, shown in the stats below..
MJ also overcame the Bad Boys, a more talented team overall (their entire starting 5 was 3x all-stars)
Who was tougher, the 2017 Warriors or the 93 Suns?
2007 Cavs:. #7 SRS.. 50 wins.. 2 seed
2007 tDET:. #6 SRS.. 53 wins.. 1 seed
1989 Bulls:. #10 SRS.. 47 wins.. 6 seed
1989 Cavs:. n#1 SRS.. 57 wins.. 3 seed

it's been so clear cut...
1st stint in cleveland, gets beat by dwight.
2nd stint, in Miami, gets checked by ancient spurs. (with bonafide help)
3rd stint, back in Cleveland, gets absolutely decimated by teamwork driven dubs.
4th stint.....
well you know, kawhi and PG13 bout to hand him that work.
