And this reflects in the assist category, which the Blazers are dead last in. Too much ISO ball, no ball movement whatsoever which makes their offense highly predictable and easy to defend when going up against the best teams, they keep beating themselves.

You look at Melo's averages and think "16/6 with ~40% from three? That's pretty good.", but the reality is that his style of play is not a winning one in a team concept, he can score at a decent rate but it's detrimental to their offense and overall team play when he's featured at such a high rate. He shouldn't be their 3rd option on offense. They have a 94 ORTG when he's on the court, he's actually hurting their offense in the role he's in, I think he'd do better in 20-25 mpg off the bench in a reduced role.
