My goodness.

Just gorgeous.

That one foot step back fade all game.

Taking a great defender in Ibaka to school over and over again.

Westbrook and Durant completely overshadowed.

Dirk's top 15 all time, but he may be closer to 10 than 15.

Cuban got cheap and ruined what could've been another run for Dirk in 12.

Imagine if Dirk had Wade & Bosh...4 or 5 titles easily barring major injury.

Collison was a much better post defender and overall defender than Serge. Serge was a much better weakside shotblocker but he was weak in most other areas

Cuban fcked up once again (surprise) by letting Tyson go

If Odumb was in the form he was in 2011 Dallas wouldve been scary but he turned into a crackhead loser without Kobes leadership

Oh my gosh.

Easily.

He was great off the ball and didn't hamper players.

Moved off the ball and scored a lot on cuts to the rim.

Just a fantastic team player.

Odom, Artest, Bynum...All of these were legit drug addicts, insane, and all around bad basketball players and Kobe whipped them into shape and won back to back titles with them

Or Durant/Klay/Dray/Iggy

No, due to major injuries.

And if you watch the 06 finals closely, you'll notice Dirk was hacked all series long without getting the calls.

It was a fix to turn Wade into Jordan.

And they wanted to spite Cuban.

Wade was great, but he got the benefit Dirk didn't.

Insane. Not to mention Gasolina whos 0-16 as his teams #1 option in the playoffs and DFish who is a notoriously bad teammate with offcourt issues.

MBenga was a tae kwon do instructor.......Shannon Brown was Chris Browns retarded cousin

Trevor Ariza was like the only solid, reliable, no bullshit guy Kobe had in that run

Dirk was a true OG.

Probably the hardest to disrespect player ever besides MJ.

He was getting disrespected pretty hard after '06 & '07 :lol

Dirk really did a complete 180 with his legacy/reputation after 2011. Hell, Slam made their top 500 players list right before the 2011 playoffs, and they had Dirk 55th

Hakeem?
The dude who lost in the first round 8 times.

it's incredible to imagine how dysfunctional they'd be... mightve had a malice in the palace situation w/ Pau getting ping ponged around.

Artest literally broke into tears at the sight of kobe's work ethic.

Players were in awe of Kobe's gangster pedigree. He was colder than cold.

its why its hard to be a branstan lmao

The dude who lost in the first round 8 times.

Tends to happen when ur actually playing in a loaded conference with a bunch of scrap heap for teammates

dude beat the Showtime Lakers in 5 games as a sophomore and took 2 games from a GOAT team in 86 Celts. Sampsons injury/Houstons FO derailed his career

then in the 2 non MJ years he took a gigantic shit on literally everyone

and Hakeem was 11-5 against MJ before the 1st retirement and MJ was scared to play him. He absolutely pulvirized and was a nightmare matchup for Chicago

No player in history has a playoff run close to 1995 Hakeem

the competition he played in every round, underdog without HCA every round against basically 60 win teams every round. He played the best 4 teams in the league and ran through alltimers in Stockton, Malone, Robinson, Shaq, Penny, Chuck and KJ.

Hakeem in that little window was the only player in history who could match MJs twoway and clutch impact

he was but if you look at those rosters in hindsight they were absolutely pathetic.

Josh Howard as your 2nd mate?

in the west??

:biggums:

The dude was carrying cleveland style bums through a gauntlet and very well couldve won a primo chip without wade's 100 FT march.

And then he vanquishes the cHeat at their peak breaking crunchtime records.

I shouldve mentioned Larry Bird, hes up their with him you cant disrespect.

LOL @ calling the Western conference loaded at the time of those first round losses.

He had some good legit teammates between 88-91 when he was ousted in the first round those 4 straight seasons. You just weren't born yet to see for yourself.

If that was James instead of Hakeem losing 8x, you'd make a thread everyday bashing him about it.

In this case, your excuses for Hakeem are mediocre at best.

Of the top 10 players all time, Hakeem played with by FAR the least amount of talent. His best teammate post Sampson and pre Drexler, 7 years of the dude's prime, was Otis Thorpe :oldlol: Imo Hakeem had one of the 5 greatest peaks of all time, and I know a lot of people favor Dirk's 2011 run, but to me Hakeem's '95 is the GOAT, with '94 being arguably the GOAT carry job

Agreed with everything you said bruh. He was consistently winning 55-60 games in the West without another top 15-20 player in the league on the roster.

But you shouldn't let Dirk off the hook for '06 and especially '07. Dirk came up pretty small in the Finals, missed a huge FT and completely no showed Game 4. Then He was absolutely dreadful against the Dubs, his Game 6 being one of the worst playoff performances by an ATG ever

If the Mavs had Old Man Kidd in 06 instead of Devin Harris, the Mavs beat the Heat. Or if the Mavs had Carlisle instead of Avery Johnson, the Mavs beat the Heat.

Both of those had a calming effect on Dirk. Dirk at his ultimate was during that first year under Carlisle in the 08-09 season. That season he had like 5 game winners and was beyond clutch. The supporting cast was pretty terrible though. Too bad they ran into a much better team. But Dirk versus Denver was special. 34/12/4/1/1 on 53%/39%/92% shooting all while the cops were arresting his fiance at the time.

06 was fixed.

Watch every game start to finish and you'll see Dirk hacked all series long.

The league hated Cuban.
