Jordan only has 4 series wins without HCA and couldn’t even beat a 65+ win team
How many losses as the favorite for each player
Lebron: 4
Jordan: 0
How many series was he carried by teammate/outscored by teammate:
Lebron: 5
Jordan: 0

Playoff series scoring at least 10 ppg more than his 2nd option (carry-job):
Jordan: every series and every Finals
Lebron: few series and no winning Finals

Playoff series leading his 2nd option by a minimum of 10 ppg (carry-job):
Jordan: every series and every Finals
Lebron: few series and no Finals
If you add up the points/rebounds/assists totals, the gap between LeBron and his next best teammate would be higher than MJ and his next best teammate
Agree/disagree?

no, because MJ always averaged 10-30 more than his 2nd option in every playoff series of his career, while Lebron usually leads in rebounds and assists by like 1 rebound and 1 assist per game, so nowhere near 10 ppg

No, the difference between the COMBINED points rebounds and assists of LeBron and his next best teammate
LeBron got 5ppg more than Kyrie, but double the rebounds and assists. Jordan got 10 ppg more Pippen, but less rebounds/assists.
So the total gap between LeBron and his next best teammate was higher
72-10

Some would argue whether Pippen was All-Star caliber in 1990; could have been replaced with McHale. A raw athlete with unhoned skills, Pippen hadn't yet flourished. The voting is largely attributable to the sports crazy Chicago fanbase and the national exposure that the Bulls received due to Pippen's superstar teammate.
Kyrie Irving played like an All-NBA First Teamer in the 2016 Finals.

it doesn't work like that
Lebron got 1 more rebound than say, Love or Tristan
and he got 2 more assists than Kyrie
So that's 3 more than the next guy in each category
But MJ got 10 more points than Pippen in every series - that trumps Lebron's tiny advantages in the lesser important categories

It's amazing that MJ nearly beat the Pistons that year in 1990 with a sidekick as green as Pippen
People don't seem to understand that a 17 ppg sidekick and the #7 team defense is NOT a lot of help, and would be considered an absolute carry-job if not for MJ-fatigue.
But the reality is that only MJ had to be scoring champ to win rings (the biggest burden possible).. no one else ever did that - only MJ

So you’re comparing MJ to one other Bulls player, but LeBron’s stats is compared to the ENTIRE team
Seems like you’re holding LeBron to a higher standard than Baldan :oldlol:
Why was 4/2 enough for MJ in 1998 but 12/10 wasn’t enough for LeBron in 2017??

No, I'm comparing apples to apples
MJ didn't rebound as much as Horace, but his assists were equal or greater than Pippen's, and his scoring was at least 10 points greater in every series.
that's a bigger gap over his teammates than Lebron, due primarily to his ridiculous scoring edge that Lebron's puny edges in rebs and assists can't offset
it's a shame that Lebron needs and equal scoring partner and closer to win a championship - he only scored 2-5 more than his 2nd option in his Finals wins, compared to 10-20 for MJ (carry-job for all Finals)

Lebron had an all-star teammate or recent all-star for every year of his career
Otoh, MJ had no all-star from 85-89'
Overall, lebron had 7 all-star teammates and won 3 rings.. MJ had 1 and won 6... No comparison

1990 doesn't count due to Pippen having a damn migrane, the Bulls took the Pistons to 7 games in the ECF,that same Pistons team went to the finals and beat the Blazers in only 5 games. So Jordan would have had 7 chips and probably more than that if he didn't retire in 93.

Pippen making the All-Star team in 1990 instead of 1991 was always kind of weird.
In 1990 (All-Star season) he averaged 16.5 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 5.4 apg
In 1991 (not voted to All-Star team) he averaged 17.8 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 6 apg
And yeah it was impressive that the Bulls nearly made the NBA Finals over a great team like the Pistons in 1990.

So now certain all-star seasons "don't count." :lol The OP's talking point is poor since it doesn't factor in all-star quality play where people missed it due to injuries, a snub, etc. but the non-stop MJ stan contortions are always amusing.
