Can't really have this kind of poll with so many Bron stans here.

I figured I might average the two. It's only 7 more polls after this.

MrFonzworth, who you got?

I have always had it as Jordan 1, LeBron 2. Jordan 1a, LeBron 1b, etc. The fact that you think it's anything else means you're just biased and hating. I can easily replay your statement as:

Can't really have this kind of poll with so many Bron haters here

There are some arguments that LeBron is #2 to MJ, but they are fairly weak. I don't think everyone that has LeBron #2 is a stan, but MOST of them are.

Anyone who thinks LeBron is clearly top 2 all time is a stan.

Esp. when the polls are done late at night when most bron stans are up due to unemployment. I mean, I didnt' even know there was a round 1 or round 2.

Larry Bird, Magic runner-up, with some consideration for Shaq and Tim Duncan. Larry's badassness beats Magic's smile and charisma in the intagibles department, so I go with him. He doesn't have the longevity, but he made up for it with attitude. Not to mention skills and smarts. Plus, he destroyed his career by shoveling gravel for his mom, which is pretty noble.

You say "since 1980" but you are including guys who were in their prime in the 70s. Doesn't make a lot of sense.

Kareem is certainly a legit candidate at 3 if you include his whole career but not if you only count production after 1980 when he was 32.

Why dont you add Lebron to list and ask second best player since start of Nba?

Also why did not the list include Isiah Thomas and Moses Malone?

I would add Karl Malone too.

Going to call this thing anytime soon? The rankings are already screwed up with LeBron over Bird and Shaq, but might as well keep going.

Add in the players mentioned (Karl and Moses and Isiah) even though they won't be getting on too soon and post a new thread. 8 for Bird, 4 each for the next group so far.

The flaw of these polls is that active players with very active fans will have an the advantage, and thus a vastly inflated position.

Yes the LeBrons and Kobes will be the most inflated. Also possibly guys like Steph or other modern players will get inflated too.

A straight up Bird vs LeBron poll might be ok. But there are more LeBron stans than haters here it seems. They might balance each other out though to some degree. But when the choice is LeBron vs the field, there is no way to balance out the stans.
