Now, I like Harden and really respect his leadership and mentality of never complaining or asking for anything teammates wise, I think he will be one of the top 25 or even 20 greatest ever, but it's right that he isn't in the top 5 here.

Under TheUndefeated's Twitter post of the ranking, a lot of idiots endulging in recency bias are asking for Harden and/or Westbrook to be taken off.

Westbrook was better than Harden for every single season of the 2010's until 2017/2018. So all but two.


As a matter of fact, much of the same applies for Leonard who should be 5th, as he was better than Westbrook for only clearly 1 season (2019), and at best 3 seasons (2016, 2017), which would be really narrow.

So it makes no sense for him to be above Westbrook.

The bigger argument would be who's fifth between Paul and Leonard and Harden.

3) Curry/Durant
4) Westbrook
5) Harden
6) Leonard/Paul
7) Paul/Leonard
8) Howard


That's the clear top 8, whichever way you're going at 2-3 and 6-7.

Atter that, its Griffin/Butler/George/Lillard/Thompson/Irving/DeRozan/Lowry, maybe even Cousins. Aldridge, Millsap, Love, Bosh very consistent but not the quality.

Wade, Melo, Rose, burnt out too quick. Gasol, Ginobili and Parker would be optimal for mid decade to mid decade. Bynum would have been on pace in 2012.
