.
top 10 player..... 2nd option > Pippen/Pau

Kareem.... Magic > Pippen/Pau

Lebron..... Wade/AD > Pippen/Pau

Shaq........ Kobe > Pippen/Pau

Magic...... Kareem > Pippen/Pau

Wilt.......... West > Pippen/Pau

Dr J.......... Moses > Pippen/Pau

Duncan.... had a Big 3 (3rd star)

Russell.... had 8 HOF teammates

the only exceptions are Duncan and Russell who had a 3rd HOF teammate (Big 3)

it's amazing that MJ/Kobe won anything at all with their shit help compared to their peers

Interesting how you had to cheat for Duncan, in a post with a criteria that you made up yourself.

Also, who has Dr. J in their top 10 over Bird ???

Is this another LeBron hating thread?. LBJ's triple double ruined your new year.

Kyrie is worse than Pippen and Gasol.

So is Parker

So is Hakeems second option in 94 & 95

MJ had a 3rd hall of fame teammate for half of his rings also

Mods, why haven't you banned OP yet?

He is clearly trolling in 90% of his posts and is actually the biggest spammer on this site.

Kobe's casts were an absolute joke it's truly incredible he won once let alone twice. The following players are NBA CHAMPIONS:

-Sun Yue
-DJ Mbenga
-Luke Walton
-Jordan Farmar
-Sasha Vujacic
-Vlad Radmanovic
-Josh Powell
-Chris Mihm
-Adam Morrison

That's NINE bonafide scrubs.

Then you have multiple <40FG% "star teammates" like:

-Derek Fisher
-Shannon Brown

Absolutely insane.

Actually it was Kevin Love who averaged 26/13/4 the season before he joined Lebron. It's not a secret that he was reduced to a spot up shooter everytime Lebron stepped on the floor. That's not KLoves fault.

I always ask this...but we'll try it again.

Lets just assume Kobe was the best player in 09 and 10.

What other player that was somewhat close to him in those years had a similar supporting cast?

Dirk? Lebron? Wade?

What other historical championship first option level player had as good of a supporting cast as Pau/Odom/Ariza/Bynum/Fisher...for example.

You guys always talk about Pau's record in the playoffs...but the dude was leading 50 win teams as the clear cut best player in the West. Kevin Love never even made the playoffs prior to Lebron and probably never even had a .500 record in one season.

Do I think that is a fair evaluation of Love? No, but you clowns should at least try to be somewhat consistent in your arguments.

He leaves Bird out of the top 10 list in the OP, yet literally a week ago he said he had Bird #2 all time. He has also mentioned Wilt #2 all time a couple of times before.

Here is 3ball's post from a week ago, the thread is on the front page right now.

"Sometimes I debate who was better. Bird was phenomenal.. I have him as #2 all-time. he beat Magic's more talented Lakers as the underdog in 1984, with a real talent disadvantage.. it was a goat-level ring. one sidenote: it's interesting that from 3-point range, bird shot 34.9% on 1.3 attempts in the 80-87' playoffs, compared to Jordan's 35.2% on 2.1 attempts in the 85-93' Playoffs.."

No, but you clowns should at least try to be somewhat consistent in your arguments.Dirk's roster was actually pretty great(Kidd, Terry, Marion, Caron Butler, Chandler, Barea) even though it had no 2nd star. They were top 10 Offense/Defense in 2011. LeBron had Mo Williams/Jamison/Delonte West/Hickson/Ilgauskas/role player Shaq/Varejao, so pretty solid front court rotation. They were also top 10 offense/defense. They just couldn't shoot/score when it came time for it.

Exactly...

Relative to the competition Kobe had FAR AND AWAY the best supporting cast and an all-time great head coach.

Laughable these children try to spin it any other way smh

For sure Dirk had that in 2011. But, they swept the Lakers in 2011...so I'm not sure how the 11 rosters for teams are relevant when the discussion is about 09 and 10.

Yea, the 09 and 10 Cavs were by no means "bad", but that was a considerably weaker roster than the Lakers during that time both in terms of players and coaching.

And, the Lakers never faced that team either...
