BTW? Arguably the best perimeter defender on the team, even WITH Danny Green and Avery Bradley on the squad. He's slowed down in recent games, but he was absolutely shutting shit down off the bench and closing games with Bron and AD.

He is proof that almost all NBA players (there are still some malcontents and idiots) are capable of providing solid rotation minutes, it's just a matter of getting the chance and the right situation. I often wonder how many Carusos are stuck on a team with depth (since the good teams usually have the good scouting) or with a coach that's an idiot. And then I think of D'Antoni's refusal to play more than 7 guys and I get angry at him.

I've just really always loved players and stories like his. Part of the reason I watch the NBA is for the wide variety of role players that show up and are easy to root for.

Caruso has great athleticism for a white guy and he's 6'5 with decent handles. What he doesn't have that you'd like to see from your NBA white guys is shooting. He finishes at the rim great though, either scoring a basket or getting it to an easy assist. He also plays defense. Sometimes he's on the floor looking like he's not making an impact but the Lakers play better with him for some reason, probably because he doesn't make a lot of mistakes.

Caruso athletic for a white guy? No he's athletic. Full stop. 1. equate ultra low body fat with athleticism

2. equates darker skin which shows muscle striation shadows more definitively with athleticism (the reason all bodybuilders over-tan their skin).... you will understand why so many people think people with great quickness, leaping ability, and explosive rotational strength “are not athletic”
