I bet Wilt had more than 20 blocks in a single game. Shame they didn't record that stat.



Just wondering though, why didn't Lebron have a block? Why is his average career blocks the same as Larry Bird? Dr. J averaged twice that, and Lebron has the same athleticism. What gives?

He's always been an inconsistent team defender and weak man defender

His blocks always came from the back on chasedowns

He never had the anticipation or IQ to rotate and make blocks straight up face first

NBA historian Harvey Pollack recorded 25 shotblocks by Wilt Chamberlain in a playoff game. And 23 in another game.

For what it's worth, the NBA record for most blocks in a single game is 17 by Elmore Smith, back in 1973.
