Setting aside what you'd have to do to get it to work money wise, Davis doesn't want to play Center and he'd have to next to Love. Not to mention that Love playing significant minutes would really hurt their defense. The teams front court situation is also fine anyway. It's the guard positions where they could do with some upgrades.

CP3 is owed too much money. It would be difficult to match salaries and CP3 has also been injury-prone last several years. I would not trade for him.

How do 10+ year posters not understand that salaries matter?

Love/CP3 would be major upgrades over Kuzma but we'd have to find a 3rd team and give up at least Green & KCP as well.

I’m not 100% positive, but there seems like there’s LITERALLY no way to match salaries without trading away more players than LA could lose/more players than CLE could accept. Mayyybe Danny Green, KCP gets you close, but who cares to check because that would be a stupid trade and KCP can veto.
