I don't know if there has ever been so many garbage, uncompetitive teams in the NBA than there is currently. The league is completely top-heavy and the trash teams are getting blown out left and right and cannot compete at all. This year it seems far worse than in recent seasons.

Theres too many teams in the league tbh

But as long as they're creating money...then they're staying and it will always be like this.

Doesnt help that todays players are pvssies and always need moar help

The top 6-7 in each conference are watchable and the rest are absolute trash:facepalm

When a good team plays a VERY bad team, I just focus on the good team on both ends of the floor.

Hasn't it always been like this tho:confusedshrug:

You have your 2-5 contenders and the rest of the league is basically filler

This might be, unsarcastically, the worst take of all time on here, by a serious meaning poster... I probably wrote WOAT take at something else like 5 mins ago, which was bad, but probably just routinely dumb post of the week bad. This one, its completely serious. 100%.

The league is literally experiencing a peak in terms of top heavyness and depth, simoultaneously... never have the bottom tier teams ever been so competitive in games, beaten so many good teams, and been so loaded with firepower...

the damn Orlando Magic have Fultz coming to life with a TD last night, and Gordon behind that with 25/9/9... beating the Hawks who have Curry 2.0 and a couple of other great but bits and pieces players, scored 150+ a couple times already...

The West has 12 playoff caliber teams, that would make it just about all other years.

YA...People pretend like this always hasn't been the case.

Regardless it still makes money so they will never contract a team.

Uh it's basically always been like this... every team obviously can't be good lmao. Anyway today it's nowhere near as bad as it was just a few years ago. Nobody as bad as the 7-59 Bobcats or 12-70 Nets recently, at least the worst teams have been winning 15+ games.

A big part of this is Bran colluding every year to water down the league and form his superteams.

The fact that the Orlando Magic at their level of play are still soundly in the 8th spot out East is atrocious

The distribution is just more top and bottom heavy with more pseudo-contenders, less mediocre, and more plain bad teams than usual. It’s unimpressive in the center since there’s only really 13 impressive teams + maybe the Grizzlies. But it all evens out. Do you think the talent just up and left the NBA over the offseason?
