And.....I get it. Does anyone not like Lillard?

I ask as Ja Morant shakes the shit outta the entire state of Oregon(I’m ignoring that he also took 3 steps).

Thunder fans and Rockets fans probably dislike him.

I would imagine it’s a begrudging respect.

Lillard is this generation's Tim Duncan/Dirk Nowitzki. Of course everyone likes him, and for good reason

I used to like him a lot less, thought he was getting way too much hype because he always got abused on defense. But he's gotten better at that end and he's earned respect. I didn't like his whining to the media about not making the all star game either, thought that was soft. But it's whatever because he's elite now.

Yup. He's the type to stay with one franchise his whole career and not go out of his way to court other superstars to join him. All-time great numbers & has led them to the Playoffs every year since his 2nd season. He's a lifer. He basically does have Harden's game minus the constant foul baiting and bitching.

He's stayed loyal to his franchise so far( for the good and bad that comes with that), doesn't openly recruit or try to team stack, stays out of trouble and generally comes off as pretty affable. He's been consistently a top 10-15 player for some years now and seems to be peaking as a player this season. Hard to predict the future but he'll probably go out as one of those greats that never wins a ring, short of some unforeseen transaction that puts him in position to win.

He's about as likable as it gets in the modern NBA. No fuss, no drama, just goes out and plays.
