He has a player option the 2nd year. Theyll probably just trade him to the Warriors or something if he doesnt work out

im not sure how people didnt notice that last year. Most teams sag waayyy off him like hes russell westbrook and he doesnt do enough anywhere else to compensate for that.

hes one of the best perimeter defenders in the league still. He gave Kawhi a shit ton of problems in the finals when he was on him and even outplayed him in the closeout game

he had multiple clutch shots against the Rockets, gamewinner against the Raptors, game winning steal on Lillard etc

he averaged 10/4/4 on 57 TS with some of the best perimeter defense in the league last playoffs. Why are people acting like hes a bum?

He was one of the best perimeter defenders 5 years ago. But now? Not so much. And in no game was he better than kawhi. Stop that.

The thing with Iggy is that he's someone that could help a contender that needs that small edge to get over the top. Miami is not a contender, Lakers are, Bucks too. Riley thought this was the 2012 Heat and Iggy was Battier.

He's not worth the money but if your cap is already shot it's unimportant to a rich owner. Don't see him putting Miami in the Finals but we can't say Riley isn't going for it.

The time off is for the best. He couldn't do a full season at this point. The rust will keep him from doing anything statistically meaningful in the regular season but he's there to make a few big postseason plays.

One of the top 5 most overrated players in the league. Not sure who they all are but Iggy is one as it Draymond.

Iggy outplayed him this game

Kawhi was mediocre in game 6. Lowry went off in the 1st half and Siakam in the 2nd half. FVV hit all the momentum breaking shots and put them up with a barrage of jumpers early in the 4th too. Siakam also had that drive where he iced Dray and Ibaka was killing GS on the roll
