I’m confused as how the Trae Luka trade is lop sided? Trae is pretty clearly the better offensive player, Luka the best defensive player, but Luka plays on a team with a HOF coach and supporting cast that would make the playoffs without him.

Well Trae averages more points more assists on better efficiency on a team that his been completely crippled for the entire year. Luka’s team is much bett r and takes a ton of the presure off him so the fact he has worse efficiency on lower volume scoring is pretty indicative of who’s the better scorer. And the Mavs are a very good team without Luka

Everybody but the absolute Luka diehards was hedging their bets on Luka right up until after the draft, and technically, the start of the season. It was two years ago, a little too early to try to revise history.
