It's not false, Wade did say for years that Kobe was the best player of his generation, he's given Lebron his props recently but it's not like they're wrong.

In my opinion, MJ and Kareem are HANDS DOWN the top 2 GOAT. After those two, I think Mamba HAS A CASE as the 3rd GOAT. Personally, I got Bron at #3. But when u look at what entails GOAT status (solo accolades, team accolades, numbers, peak-prime status, longevity being great, and impact on the league), he has the resume.

However, the main thing that hurts Kobe is the fact he didn't revolutionize his position the way the other top 10 GOATs did. Because he was SO SIMILAR to the GOAT himself in MJ. I don't think I've ever seen two players for different generations who were so similar to each other. If Kobe was 6'9 with that same skillset and athletic ability, then that would have been a different story. Because the league STILL has never seen a 6'9 player with a MJ or Kobe type of package. I'm talking their scoring skillset, freak athletic ability, handles, defense, and passing as a package. And on top of it, he was the next generation after MJ. And played against a prime MJ even for a short period of time. But skill for skill (scoring skillset, handles, passing,defense as a package), Kobe is the MOST SKILLED player of all time. So that's still an EPIC DISTINCTION to have!
