Yea, struggled to clear a guy whose 7'5 meanwhile we've seen the through the legs a million times - doing it front facing is not that difficult for good dunkers. When you do a reverse or something, left hand a la JRich sure but Jones didn't wow. Gordon had 50s all night.

FT dunks are on the line a lot sure but he was well over. Vince Carters done a 360 off two feet in game from the same distance basically when you consider he came in off an angle. Both did well but personall as well as people I've spoken to think Gordon should have won.

I mean most of the dunks were derivative of each other. Either between the legs or jumping over someone, or blending the two ideas together in some form. It reminded of the dunk contests where everyone would bounce the ball as the lead-in.

Still the best contest since Lavine-Gordon and one of the better ones in general, if for no other reason than DJJ and Gordon were going at it hard at the end. Alot of the dunks needed replay in order to really appreciate what happened, so the crowd couldn't give the appropriate initial reaction and energy that fuels the moment.

That's just it. We're at the diminishing returns point because short of someone doing a 360 from the 3 point line, we're at the threshold of what's possible creatively/athletically. So everything now is just a remix of what came before or throwing in pre-dunk theatrics.

For the dunks that Aaron Gordon has pulled off, to not have a dunk title is disgraceful. It's why for the most part I prefer the 3 point shooter now. It's straight make or miss and not left to the subjectivity of judges.

I know everybody thinks AG got robbed but I don't think so. To me he just didn't look as bouncy and powerful as back in his first dunk contest (when he really got robbed). Jones's dunks were a lot more powerful and stylish in my opinion. He dunked it so hard that the ball bounced off the floor before he even landed again. He just made it look dope. AGs scoop 360 was off the charts, all his other dunks just didn't look that good imo. But if I had been a judge I would have given the win to him just because he derserves at least one trophy.
