The new Basketball Africa League (BAL) has an inaugural season start date

The Basketball Africa League (BAL) will play its inaugural season soon. It begins March 13.

There will be 12 teams to start, from 12 different African countries.

The BAL has a partnership with both FIBA and the NBA.

FIBA, of course, already has competitions across Africa, in individual countries. The BAL is across all of Africa.

Don't know much about the level of play on these new teams vs the good teams that are already in Africa. Will be interesting to find out.

This is great for the game, like Ujiri said there could be 10 Embiids out there.
