Instead going for Team Africa by picking Embiid and Siakam?

I rarely have a rooting interest in the ASG but Giannis lowkey made this a compelling match up by picking an underdog team. its an interesting narrative for once

well, it kinda ruins the point of the game, no?

since its the best players, someone has to take em, and now they only ended up on one side cause he took none.

i think you have missed thy purpose of sports (competition) and in particular the selection process of this asg

competition can only work in this instance if the best are evenly picked

was just thinking how crazy it would be if Lebron won the first Kobe ASG MVP

similarly how he surpassed him in points the day before his death

Best players has little to do with who wins an all star game. If one team decides to play for real they will be up big before the other team catches on. Giannis picked people who might just do it.
