"This was the right time for me to run for a leadership position in the NBPA," Irving said. "I have been an observer and a participant in union affairs for a while, but for the most part, I was off on the sidelines, supporting our Executive Committee as they made important decisions. At this point in my career, I wanted to join forces with those guys and take a bigger role outside of the basketball court and within our union."

Flat Earthers shouldn't be allowed in that position

Hence his election by his NBA peers.

a move telling that the stock crash had nothing to do with the Bush 43, particularly if the drop in rating stopped.

as the intelligents go

you hate Kyrie, you hate Obama
you like Kyrie, you hate Obama, you may just not know it yet

All NBA players will subscribe to the flat-earth theory and will undergo third eye implant surgery at the Sac and Fox Tribe of the Mississippi's shamanic hospital.

Interesting choice. I've never seen Kyrie as the galvanizing leader type these kinds of positions would typically attract(?). Granted, I don't see Pau that way either so *shrugs*.

Some people are so sour about this, 'cause it proves that Kyrie is not a cancer nor is an unlikable teammate. People dont like it when told what they firmly believe is actually wrong, its human nature.

Nets are going to have a worse record than last year.

No brainer, Kyrie is easily the most intellectual player in the league :applause:

Nets are going to have a worse record than last year.

Who knows? We are 3 games below 50% and last year we were about the same, a little bit over 50% but most wins came at the end of the season. Even if it does happen, the cause will be Irving missing so many games, not that we are worse with him. We've had easier schedules when he sat out, and thats a fact that one cannot deny.

Lmao so true, he's the J. Cole of basketball players.

Great idea, let's make an emotionally mercurial, sensitive Sally who is also a Flat-Earther the VP of the player's union smh

I feel like players that are typically disliked by their team and/or league tend to run for president.

Players that come to mind are Isiah Thomas, Derek Fisher, Chris Paul and now him... odd.

The same guy who said he could tell that the Bucks court was old??

"The one-time special game between the Bucks and Celtics is a nostalgia night and an ode to the team’s home from 1968-88 and features a design from the era. However, it really seems like Kyrie Irving thinks the court he’ll be playing on is actually from 1988:

“I’m all about safety though, so see how it is on my knees, see how it is on everyone’s bodies. I know this is a pretty older court.”

A reporter then tells Kyrie it’s a brand new court, but he still isn’t buying it:

“Yeah ... it took me three steps to realize this isn’t the same NBA court I’m used to playing on.”

:facepalm:facepalm
