Al Horford came off the bench in the most recent Sixers game, and will reportedly continue as a reserve, at least for now.

Should've traded him instead. He's a poor fit in Philly.

I thought he was signed to come of the bench. What year is this 2006?

I thought he was signed to come of the bench. What year is this 2006?

Na they signed him for ~$27.5 million per year for 4 years bro they wanted him to play defense and shoot 3s next to Embiid but it doesn't work so they sent him to the bench now

They have just asked him to do too much.

Things that he has never done in his career before.

The bench moved worked well against the Clippers.

It was the right call.

Come on, the amount of money paying Horford, he was not supposed to be the bench player.

he's a leader and just cause he doesn't start doesn't mean he can't finish depending on how the team is going. Ginobilli wasn't starting during some prime Spurs years. I swear you kids don't know the game. Why even be on a basketball message board if you have idiotic and simplistic views on the game>?

anyways, it's clear Horford's value on the Celtics was a bit overblown. The Celtics are doing fine without him. But Horford has been succesful everywhere he has gone as a prime contributor

He is old and they signed him to 4 years.

It was always gonna happen, it was just a matter of when. Obviously it is a little sooner than originally planned.

Let's be real here, the truth is nobody new how good and important Thybulle and Korkmaz would be this season.

Idiots let go of Sam Hinkie so they could have idiot Elton Brand running the front office. This is how franchises fail. You really think Sam would have paid this kind of money for Horford or Harris. Not to mention, all the assets he gave away for the privilege of half a season of Butler and having the privilege of paying Tobias ****ing Harris max money. Lol.

Stfu. That half a season of Butler took the champions to game 7. And it's not like he walked, we got Richardson out of him a solid role player. Saric and Covington isn't winning us the ring.

Yeah its stupid. Why pay Harris all that money as your shooting forward. Then turn around and give Horford the max just to shoot 3s.

Meh. Sizers only signed him so Embiid wouldn't have to face him in the play offs:oldlol:

Al should’ve seen this coming before he signed. Surely, it’s hard to turn down money and I feel for him for never getting to play PF like he wanted (til now), but still. Has to suck to go from one crappy locker room to another.

Off topic, but don't you Philly fans get frustrated when Simmons actively refuses to take even wide open 3's? I mean, at least attempt 2-3 a game even if you think you're going to brick them, FFS.

Im so nba'd out

Double entrendre :lebronamazed:

cause not only will the wolves never make it to the Finals but even if they somehow met the sixers in the Finals, Embiid would cave Kat's shit in (30/20/5/5/5) 70/40/90 %'s

Imagine giving a 33 year old, non-allstar Al Horford 4 YEARS/$109m contract....and you already have the best center in the NBA on the team. It's a death sentence. They will have to give up assets just to get rid of that contract this summer/next year.

Golden State offers Wiggins for Horford, who says no?
