Can you identify the Heat with only one guess?

Blaze what's the worst supporting cast you've seen for a superstar?

T-Mac in Orlando
Wade between Shaq & LeBron
Kobe between Shaq & Pau
KG in Minny
Iverson in Philly
Someone pre 2000's

Who would you pick?

Tmac went into a playoff game with this supporting cast....

Rookie Drew Gooden
34 year old Darrell Armstrong
Giricek
Pat Garrity
Vaughn
Chris Whitney
Andrew Declerq
Shawn Kemps final 20 minutes of PT
Pat Burke
Steven Hunter
Gerald Sasser

It may be the worst for a superstar I can think of. AI had no more offensive help in 01 but he had Mutombo who was special on D.

Tmac just had some guys. Like....you pulled from a bag of the 150-400th best players to form a lineup.

Lol talk about a mediocre lineup. Wade somehow got 47 wins out of that.

People legit watched him go out there with this lineup and called him a loser because he "only" won 48 games and a playoff series.....

He also had UD, Chalmers, Wright. Didn't have a great 2nd guy but that team wasn't as bad as OP makes it out to be. Kobe's 2007 roster was a lot worse with Odom missing 28, Walton missing 21 & Kwame missing 41 games. 2010 Heat roster was healthy and went 9-10 guys deep on most nights.

I hate all of these ******. :oldlol:

those scrubs couldnt buy a basket to save their life but they'd defend their ass off. AI was a problem and they'd take advantage of every player watching him at all times.

**** eric snow and aaron mckie. :oldlol:

Chalmers put up 7 a game on 40% shooting and 31% from 3 and Wright and UD? Really? They merit a "He also had...?". Thats that bullshit like when people would list the Bulls 90s teams and be like "And Kerr and Longley!" as if being someone with a name people heard of makes players good.

I dont know what it is but people love to act like Jordan and Kobe had it especially bad as if every #2 in this topic wouldnt be traded instantly for Lamar Odom or Charles Oakley or Orlando Woolridge.

Mitch Richmond was out there with Olden Polynice and for 15 years people have been talking like Lamar Odom is some kinda all time terrible #2. Tmac was out there playing all time elite defenses in the playoffs with Gordon Giricek as his second option. I mean...really...this is immoral....

People on ISH laughed at him for losing...with that....against an all time elite defense. Thats his help in the playoffs. Odom might have off games like everyone but....nothing about that game was surprising.

Really every elite wing I can think of needs to thank the basketball gods they never had an Orlando Tmac roster.

That whole early 2000's East was an embarrassment.

Mourning and Hill going down set that conference back 5 years.

I will admit I have a soft spot for teams where you have one star carrying a bunch of decent but more defensive oriented players(VC Raptors, AI Sixers) where every bucket you get from the other guys is a relief.

Having given it some thought im not sure the injured version of the 03 Nuggets isnt the worst lineup ive ever seen.

Gerald Sasser ... he was at SMU camp I went to, thought he would’ve ended up as a much better pro than he clearly wound up being.

McKie could ball tho. He was the only guy other than AI that could score on those teams. Imagine AI surrounded by modern shooters instead of guys like Eric Snow who you couldn't even count on to hit wide open 15 footers.

Mckie put up 9/4 on 43% shooting that season. Not saying he was garbage. But his name is a little bigger in retrospect than his tangible contribution.

a lot of teams had poor talent in the early and mid 00's though.

look at the teams the 06 and 07 Lakers finished ahead of...

mostly trash.

Kobe didnt beat anyone special to the playoff spot.

NBA just wasnt very deep then.

I honestly think Wade has the worst of the all the guys mentioned.

McGrady had it rough. But still think those guys were NBAish players. Wade did more with what he had. Wade definitely 2009 MVP.

we really acting like 2005-2007 Lakers didn't have a worse squad surrounding Kobe?

Correction... children on ISH... or maybe even brain dead people on ISH.

I don't think anyone sane and with a modicum of intelligence, even back in 2002/2003/2004... would have the nerve to suggest that was a halfway decent lineup without McGrady.

Odom was a respectable #2. Kobe just didn’t have anything beyond that. Odom would be the best #2 among the teams in question unless you’re into Ricky Davis.
