The best movie opening of all time is Saving Private Ryan. WWII veterans that went to see the film walked out of the movie sometimes because they could smell diesel fuel because it felt so real. I guess diesel was a common smell during battles in that time period.

Many veterans on Joe Rogan's show has came on and said that piece of film is the realist depiction of war and realism of any movie ever made by Hollywood.
