Greek coastal guards are actually using spears to cut holes in to *the boats so they have to return. Spraying teargas at a crowd filled with women and children. Greeks are assholes.

Turkey is essentially strong arming the NATO in to the Syrian war with the opening of it's borders.

Tbh. It's about time. Sometimes getting shot at is the only way for people obey a nation's laws

Yikes, I was in Greece two years ago and it's not like what it once was. Country is undoubtedly struggling... migrants do not make it any easier.

Greece is struggling as it is without adding those troubled people to the mix..

How many refugees have moved out of Syria now? Is there anyone left there?

Every country does but only the US are the evil ones for doing so

why do third worlders have so many kids if they cant support them?

its crazy irony the richest people most capable of supporting a family have the least offspring.

dont let any of them in.

Traditionally half your kids would die before adulthood anyway, so it was best to just spray your seed like buckshot and go for as much offspring as you could. Plus the bible says “be fruitful and multiply” which people in very religious communities tend to take quite seriously.

These societies havent had a chance to adapt their customs to western innovations in medicine and technology, but nevertheless we rushed to “rescue” them with all our new drugs and immunizations.

And now, whooppee, a shit ton more humans on the planet, destroying the environment and creating cultural conflict.

Well hey. At least we got a Freddy Mercury Live Aid performance out of it. And a shitty “We Are The World” record from Jacko and Lionel Richie.

Totally worth it.

Says who?

Sounds more like a subjective personal belief than anything scientific.

Greece is in no position to take care of itself, much less having immigrants move in.

Fair point. But do you destroy an entire country to help 100,000? I don't know the answer here, but I do know Greece is in a total cluster **** right now.

Greece is just a byway. Those *refugees* (probably mostly economic migrants) will all head to Germany, Sweden, and the UK where they can get on the welfare gravy train. For some reason, those countries will let anyone in.

Reuters media reports a little kid drowned off the Greek coast. This is getting ugly.

"The passengers overturned the boat as it was approached by the coast guard, according to Greek officials, who added this was a common tactic used to force a rescue."

It's quite an amazing development over the years since western medicine was introduced in Africa after WW2.

1950: An estimated 228 million people lives in Africa, with a world population of about 2.5 billion people. Fast forward to 2018 and that number was at 1.3 billion with a world population of 7.5 billion.
By the year 2100, they're projected to be 4.3 billion out of a world population of 10.5 billion.

If the year 2100 projections holds true, it'll mean that Africans will go from being just under 10% of the world population to a whopping 40% in just 150 years - 2 lifetimes - that is absolutely wild.

It is. Apparently Turkish police/border patrol has been helping to create chaos and escalating the conflict, shooting tear gas at Greek police.
