Hes a crazy good scorer. Incredible combination of skill and athleticism. Hes much better on defense this year. Hes alpha AF. Why are people still sleeping on him?

Because his team is 20-40. You really can't be surprised nobody is hyping up his play or production while on one of the worst teams in the league

Because he has no impact on what actually matters...winning. In a conference where the 8th seed is 26-33 the Bulls are still the 11th seed. Zach Lavine is, MAYBE, a 3rd guy on a actual contender. Anyone can put up big numbers on a losing team. (just ask Derrick Rose)

D-Rose was the youngest MVP ever and best player for a 60+ win team ... with inept offensive talent around him ... putting up 25 and 8 being clutch AF in a much slower paced league, more difficult scoring climate on a ridiculously slow half court based offense.

He was the most successful individual Bulls player superstar ever after the GOAT for the franchise. 62-20 and the conference finals.

Not even remotely comparable. I agree with the rest of your thoughts on Lavine however. Sucks, but true.

I'm talking about current Derrick Rose, Coach. Try and keep up. Also, those 2011 Bulls were also the best defensive team in the league and Rose had no impact whatsoever in that regard. How can you be the MVP when you contribute nothing to the main attribute of your teams identity? That's all beside the fact that Dwight should have been MVP in the first place. MVP doesn't mean best player in the league. You could argue Derrick Rose wasn't even a top 5 player in the league. He certainly wasn't top 3.

So your knock on him is that he couldn’t carry both the offense and defense at once on a 60 win team. Basically he’s guilty of not being Michael Jordan. Ok.

lol Michael Jordan carried the defense on a 60 win team, huh? I guess Pippen, Grant, and Rodman were just along for the ride, huh?

You also have to consider coach Thibs for coaching the team. I mean I'm not sure if they can get anywhere without him, despite the presence of potential players. Five consecutive playoff berths from 2011-2015, two consecutive seasons in garnering the 1st seed of 50 wins or more, one conference finals appearance and coached the 2012 eastern all-star team. His debut in the 2010-11 season was the closest they got to a championship.

Sadly the front office had to ruin everything for us but after all, his tenure still made the bulls' most successful seasons since the jordan days. Of course, one can't just work without the other. I mean in order to become more successful, players and coaches must be united. Sure they're not perfect but at least those times were actually better compared to where the bulls are now. Coach Thibs' no nonsense run with the team makes uncompetitive coaches like boylen look very pathetic in all honesty.

He has no help whatsoever and the worst coach + office in the league. He's pretty much as good as Tatum but its somehow his fault that he doesnt carry that bum ass team all by himself.

Pretty much as good as Tatum? Tatum plays defense. Zach? Not so much

No way. This guy pouts when he doesn't get the ball. He's just not a winning player. Dude has a high opinion of himself, which I don't have a problem with but he is as empty as it gets. They lost to the Knicks the other day :lol

if you ask these people who are repeating these tired cliches 'not a winning player' 'no impact on winning' ad nauseam what do they mean exactly and how is that measured, they would have no clue what to say. And Zach does play defence this season, not all defence team but he's far from a liability anymore.

Neither did Kevin Martin, and Shareef Abdur Rahim cause they played on lottery teams.

I'd like to see Lavine on the LA Lakers or Philly. The role would be ideal for him, and we could finally put to rest the question of if he's good or not.

Trade Toby for Zach and the Sixers are a lock for a championship.

25, 5 and 5 on a losing team just isn't all that eye catching in this day and age.

I like Zach and feel that he's a fun player to watch... But the above is true in the inflated stat era.

Fair or not, he's a career loser and that makes him look worse than he is.

here we have the case of Zach Lavine being nearly the same as Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, only Kidd-Gilchrist plays the big the same as Michael Jordan, and Lavine, the same as Pippen.

Eastern Conference version of Devin "Book " Booker. Lots of points, absolutely no defence whatsoever.
