What I admire in both Trump and Sanders is that they have their own center, meaning they have a sense of where exactly they are and have the fortitude to go against the grain and the crowd. Sanders shows this when he votes contrary to the herd like when he voted against the Iraq War and when he supports Medicaid-for-All despite the MSM saying it has no chance. Trump shows this when he refuses to apologize despite the MSM trying to make him do so. People may hate what they stand for but they stand for something. Their thoughts are likely more resilient to the vested interests that try to manipulate and control them. Biden and other "moderates" don't display a shred of independence.

one does have to wonder how much the Russians spent on advertising for Donald Trump.

Bloomberg spent $500,000,0000 and couldn't pick up one state.

Trump knows how to play with the media. A controversial statement here, another one there and the furious mainstream media gave him $5 billion worth of free coverage... but yeah, "Russia Russia Russia!!"

True but it also depends where on the spectrum an attempt at replication comes from.

It was easier for Trump because he ran as a moderate right wing candidate. That’s where more Americans actually are politically than anywhere else, so his base is far more unified and less ideologically diverse.

The left end of the spectrum consists basically of a big hodgepodge of people who simply resent republicans, but have virtually nothing else in common. Diversity is not their strength, despite their desperation to believe so, in order to, again, spite Republicans.

I’m not saying just any guy with money can do what Trump did. But I think the easiest place to do it from is the moderate right. Frankly I have no doubt we’ll see some wealthy public figures on the right take a shot at it in 2024.

Mark Cuban perhaps?

The truth is Biden is only winning because the entire black population voted for him, only bc they recognize his name from being the second black president’s VP.

They also voted for Hillary in 2016 bc she was the first black prez’s PAWG.

Without those two anomolies, they wouldnt have shown up at all.

Theyre literally the biggest pawns in politics right now, Biden benefited from that tremendously.

Ehh.

At the city and state level they tend to vote pretty strongly in favor of “free stuff” policies. Hence the state of most of their cities.

If we’re being truly honest... black people have VERY high political ignorance. Americans do overall, but black folks are indisputably highest as a group.

Im not saying it’s their fault. Much of it is not and that’s a different discussion.

But if you go into most black neighborhoods, education is VERY low. Not just in terms of formal schooling but in terms of knowing about issues of the world.

The vast majority vote for Clinton and Barry and Biden because they know those names, and people with unfamiliar words and affiliations etc make them highly mistrustful. A familiar massa is bad, but a new massa could be worse.

Out of necessity. Blacks are also one of the poorest people in the US.

Have you actually talked to a black person though? I was raised in the hood idiot. Having food stamps inst a badge of pride and the moment they start making more money they get offended when someone insinuates they have food stamp or housing

It’s fine if a given individual comes to the conclusion Biden was the better candidate.

But to suggest blacks in the southern states collectively voted for Biden in overwhelming numbers because they intensely analyzed the policy differences, rather than for more superficial reasons... that’s a pretty hard sell.

Americans in general vote for superficial reasons. In the black community this is magnified further.

Hell, Chappelle even riffed on that once if Im not mistaken.

Possibly.

And dont get me wrong, Im not saying Bernie owes his own success to having a strong grip on reality :oldlol: But I do think Biden is cruising in a lot of places solely on name recognition. Not because he’s necessarily a strong candidate otherwise.

I mean imagine if Sleepy Joe was just another senator and not Barry’s VP. He’d be the Democrat Jeb Bush. He’d have gone out very early IMO.

Regulation is basically big corporate industries lobbying and infiltrating government to control a market in their favor so it limits competition. It’s not just random people and politicians coming up with this bullshit. Its so called capitalists using government to control markets making it hard for Joe Blow to enter.
