No case for LeBron to be MVP.
Bucks vs Lakers split the season series 1-1.
AD is clearly their best player and should therefore win MVP

The Lakers leader in being the better player is LeBron James.

As one of my fellow posters on here would say, basketball isn’t played with formulas and Microsoft excel spreadsheets, so therefore eye test proves Lebron is the clear leader.

As evidenced throughout their careers, AD puts up nice stats, but doesn't translate that to on-court impact like winning. Leading his team to the playoffs as a first round fodder twice in 8 years is not winning.

James, on the other hand, has learned the hard way on translating nice stats to actual wins and MVPs and championships.

LBJ, while clearly on the downside of his career, remains the greater player.

Statnerd. The game isn't played on paper. Unless Lebron James has written on that piece of paper.

There's no way anyone who's watched the Lakers this year could come to the conclusion that either player has "clearly" been better than the other. That's where you sound like an idiot.

Shawn Marion led the '06 Suns in points, rebounds, steals & blocks, by even bigger margins than AD does, was he clearly their best player too?

AD averages 1 ppg more than Lebron and 1.7 more rebounds than Lebron.

Lebron averages 7 more assists and the on/off numbers overwhelmingly favor Lebron.

AD leads the team in PER, winshares & BPM and is a more efficient scorer than Lebron.

LeBron at 35 is overwhelmingly better than peak Davis and should be runaway MVP. Let that sink in. 17th season... still best player in the world by a huge margin. Bizarre longevity, he puts MJ to shame

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Every time the Lakers take the court without LeBron James, they find themselves in a precarious state.
Whether he plays in a game or sits out as James did Thursday night against the Golden State Warriors because of a sore groin, the Lakers have been challenged to fill his void.

Over the course of this season when James has played, the Lakers have a rating of plus-8.4, but it drops to a minus-0.1 when James takes a rest, according to NBA.com.

Anthony Davis pointed out that the Lakers have “got to get better” with their play when James is off the court.

Exaggeration doesn't help your case. He has a legit case for MVP but saying he is should be a runaway shows your bias.

Giannis also has a legit case and i would still call him the favorite. However Giannis is 24, Lebron is 35 and has an unprecedented amount of mileage on his legs. Other than Giannis i can't think of anyone who would be competitive with him.

At this point i would still vote for Giannis but if Lebron won i would be fine with it.

AD is a more efficient scorer than Lebron.
That is just straight up incorrect.
And it’s cute how you cherry picked the advanced stats that fit your agenda and ignored the rest.

If you include foul shooting then yes Davis is scoring more efficiently than Lebron. He gets to the foul line more often and shoots 84.5% from the line, excellent especially for a big. Lebron is shooting only 70% from the line.

From the field Lebron is better though.
