This was actually a good thing for Biden. I'm also glad the auto worker didn't back down either - this humanizes Biden a lot. It also minimizes the celebrity and office of the president which is also a good thing. The "shush" thing is just him getting amped up and wanting to take care of the situation himself. If Trump did it, the media would definitely be all over him calling him sexist though.

I do think he's wrong and the comparison to "fire" is actually not accurate at all. He also said AR-14.

Biden may be pro 2nd amendment but the democrat base is not. By inviting Beto to be in charge of gun control - he showed he's not pro-2nd amendment.

AR-15 has a fully automatic version. I am not sure how easy or difficult it is to turn a semi-auto AR-15 to fully auto rifle (different parts & mods), but you seem to be the gun genius. Do explain how easy or difficult is it to do that. Can you purchase a semi-auto AR-15 at some gun store and turn it to full auto or 3-shot burst fire with some parts upgrade? I used to play Tac-Ops and Call of duty years ago, but I don't own a rifle.

You would need milling machines, a few special jigs and the skills and knowledge to know what to mill and drill precisely. So the conversion isn't easy to do. Those who can do it might as well build their own firearm from scratch.

Doing the conversion is illegal and punishable with a 10 year prison sentence and $100,000 fine.

Any particular reason?? Because the AR-15 isn't fully automatic. It wasn't designed for war. There was no point for me to discuss that.

If you want to go more in detail about it, the AR-15 was designed as a semi- automatic sporting rifle; didn't get much success and the company that designed it, ArmaLite, sold the design to Colt. Colt then modified the design into the full auto M-16 for the military.

When people say that the AR-15 is a weapon of war that shoots high-powered rounds, they really don't know shit. They want to ban it but not ban other rifles that have similar rate of fire and shoot bigger caliber rounds. It's all about "scary black rifle".

It’s very hard and nearly impossible to convert a semi-automatic AR-15 into fully automatic. Just as it is nearly impossible to purchase a fully automatic weapon. That’s why the bump stock was invented. To get that fully automatic effect.

So again, there is no reason to ban a weapon that doesn’t fire a round any faster than a handgun does.
