Draymond is a good role player that's all he is. He needs to stop thinking he's some sort of basketball genius, he's a role player at best and only operates at his best on offense when there's a double on Curry/Klay and he's allowed to play 4v5.
Dude is not some undisputed HOF like those who gain from boosting his legacy seem to claim.

Role players don't average 13/10/7/2/2 over the course of 5 straight Finals. Remember when Curry was out for about 4 weeks in the 2016 Playoffs? What about Game 7 of the Finals when everyone else sucked?

dray has no impact on a middling or poor team. (80% of teams in the league)
hes the perfect support player, furthest thing from star talent.

The same people that call Draymond a role player and Love a superstar, cry over Draymond missing a game but overlook Love missing one in 2016.
Keep your agendas in order people.

Both were stars. Difference is that Warriors were a bad defensive match-up for Love in that series while Draymond would have won FMVP for the Warriors had Steph or Klay showed in that Game 7. How many players would put up numbers close to 32/15/9 on 96%TS in a Game 7 of the Finals? He was clearly the best player on the court in the biggest game. He was clearly the best player on the court in Game 1 and Game 2 as well. Love had very little impact in that series, their best game was the one he sat out.

Love had star talent... 26 ppg on 120 ORTG with absolutely no help. Ricky rubio his best mate.
Look at draymond now. He's absolutely nothing without the splash bros spacing and teamwork.
His defense is even only in a support role. He's a 6'6 PF. He cant anchor a team. a historical nobody Rudy Gobert has like 2 basketball moves and could charge a defense 10 fold.

After all of this expect Green to be on the TNT panel with Barkley in 10 years and they'll be joking about this whole thing.

Did you really just say Draymond can't anchor a defense? Are you that retarded?
And you're comparing a team roster where you have to google 95% of the roster to Rubio, Kevin Martin, Corey Brewer, Barea, and Pekovic? How stupid are you?

dray's just past his prime now and unmotivated for good reason too. It's not normal to come off 4 straight long playoff runs. Was already showing signs of coasting during the rs the last 2 years. Maybe he's pointless on bad teams but he can def make a mediocre team a decent over .500 team with his defense. Millsap did it his last year with atl(worse than mediocre really surrounded by dwight, schroder, and tim hardaway), he's not nearly the defender dray is.
I'll eat crow though, I thought without kd dray would be pretty motivated and have a dpoy type year. Then curry got injured and that was that lol

He just went 30 last week. By no means should be he be 'out of his prime' yet. He's a complimentary talent and the system/players that allowed him to max out haven't been there most of the season. If Steph and Klay were there he'd be roughly the same guy we've seen the last 5 years.

offensively sure. in his prime(15-17), he was absolutely capable of anchoring a defense however which is most of his value. he was the defensive system essentially. He shouldnt be declining at his age but a lot of guys decline early for whatever reason. add on ofc guy's less likely to play hard when your team's not going do anything, we even saw that with lebron last year. Lebron did not just become better this year from hard work in the offseason

If he returns to form next year with Steph/Klay back, I'd say the lack of anything to play for this year has impacted him. We'll see next year I guess. His skillset shouldn't have declined at this stage.

Keep in mind a few years back Skip Bayless said Draymond is better than Charles Barkley :oldlol:
And he strongly believes the '93 Suns still make the finals with Draymond in place of Chuck :oldlol:

Skip is an idiot :facepalm. Only idiots would think a role player and 4th option is or was better than prime and peak Barkley (especially 1989 to 1993 Barkley, where he was the 2nd best player in the game after MJ). Skip just hates on Barkley because he presented a big challenge for MJ who had Pippen as 2nd option: a better 2nd option than the rest of the superstars in the 90's. Prime Barkley would destroy this soft league everyone who was watching prime and peak Barkley knows this. :confusedshrug:

I think it's because Charles has been calling Skip an idiot on national TV for years now
He literally said if he knew he was dying, get him in a room with Skip Bayless and he'd beat him like a dog.
Gotta love Chuck
But yeah that video really proves the idiocy of the shit he says

This is way too early to say this. Lets wait it out until next season and see if he can anchor a defense then.

I think Skip is on this whole thing, it really feels like he says shit just because it helps make him more famous. Unlike a few others that are crappy copycats but with zero charisma.

Green better than a role player but he's not a superstar. He's a great player in support. He can make the difference on a team towards the high end. He can make lesser teams better, but he can't change a team.
green sucks balls.
absolutely carried by steph and klay. and iggy when he was good.
