There's a difference between thousands dead and millions. Also a difference in the numbers hospitals can treat before they get overwhelmed, which ups the death rate.

They should just cut the regular season. Schede the games early April, with no crowd but all games televised. Start the Playoffs 1st round 3-game series, 2nd round round 5-game series, and Conference Finals and Finals 7-game series.
