Didn't the clippers beat them 2-1?

Nah, if this happened back in 2016, everyone would be saying the same shit about the Warriors. You need the playoffs for a reason

If there's no postseason for this year because of current events, then the raptors will still remain the defending champions.

Everyone said the same thing the moment Boogie joined the Warriors in 2019.

And yet the 2019 Champions are the Toronto Raptors.

So no.

I think the Clippers have better stats than the Lakers but somehow the Lakers are winning more than the Clippers

I think the Bucks should get it. Give Giannis MVP. Davis is the best player on the Lakers. Just cancel the season, get ready to hopefully have a season next year, even if it’s a short one.

Lakers have a better adjusted record

i just want to get on with next season already, as a warriors fan it pains me to see steph miss the playoffs this year without durant or klay. but i must digress there are a lot of lakers jerseys on fans up here in san jose who want to see lakers play

Best record of all the teams is the Bucks ... they coasted last 4 games and STILL have best record.

THEY ARE the CHAMPS.

Why not? LeBron's been given shortcuts his entire career.

I don't think anyone should be given the title, otherwise what's the point of playoffs if you are rewarding teams based off of record alone.

I would award conferences champions since it is record based as well as individual accolades but that's as far as I'd go.

Sure, why not. Lebron needs all the help he can get.

Yes. Absolutely.

Your gonna just gift a team a title thats lead by one of the most losing players in finals history? Shit bron should of wished for the corona virus in 11 and 14. He'd a be a 6 time champion and tied with mj right now.

Literally all of Lebron's rings are huge asterisks.

2012 - lockout season
2013 - Ray Allen 3
2016 - Curry, Bogut & Iggy get injured, Draymond suspended, Irving game-winner
2020 - Corona

That's because the clippers lost some games to some of the weaker teams in the league.

Should derrick rose's injury also count in 2012 and 2013?

No. Not even a full (or nearly complete) regular season was played. It would be like acknowledging Elgin Baylor's 1961-62 scoring average in the record books when he only played 48 games. Besides, the title would go to Milwaukee.

So no excuses if the season recommences and the Lakers lose.

I'd take his word with a grain of salt, to be honest, until this season and postseason concludes if it ever resumes.

Can anyone seriously think that Kobe would turn down a championship for the Lakers? puhlease

The real Kobe would be rooting for LeBron.

Using Kobe's sudden demise just to imprint on everybody else's mind that the lakers should be the instant champs this year. Yeah right. 😹

No, i mean he didn't ask lebron or anything like that. So the greatest tribute that can be given to him is to induct him into the basketball HOF. 🙂

Well, lebron says he needs to carry Kobe's legacy but to me, it just doesn't seem to make any sense. Even stephon marbury says he's not a real laker. 🤦

Nothing has been given to the Lakers. We have fought for all our chips and earned them through hard work and sheer domination. We battle, we dominate and we win. That's the Laker way. Nothing is ever handed to us.

We are the Rocky of basketball.

Even if they do, they still needed 32 years of being in the finals just to get their 17th ring compared to Boston's 21 years to get theirs. 😹
